A Dream Made in Macondo - September 30, 2025 - Maximum Theater

A Dream Made in Macondo is a reading aloud that, slowly, under the eyes of the audience, is transformed into a theatrical performance idea: a journey of words in the fantastic tangle of Gabriel García Márquez. A community of young people (all strong readers), a Macondo aficionado (Nicola Fano), a stage professional (Giulia Loglio) and an indefatigable dreamer (Marina Boetti), got together to flesh out García Márquez's world, tackling his magmatic masterpiece, One Hundred Years of Solitude, from the angle of a single event: the strike against the banana company repressed in blood. It was a way to dig into the words and understand how truth and fantasy are inseparable: the real challenge is to find one in the other. And vice versa.

With Adriano Saba, Alice Ollano, Chiara Tirino, Dario Cadinu, Enea Alexander, Francesco Usai, Giorgia Mollica, Luca Diliberto, Nicolò Corda, Riccardo Casu, Sara Lepori, Sofia Rabatti.
